Festive Table Styling

Festive Table Styling

Hey Lookers

Today I wanted to share some last minute tips for setting your table this Christmas and creating a bit of stand out and wow for your guests and indeed for yourself and your family.

Preparing and styling the table for the big day is such an exciting part of the whole festive season. There are so many styling options to choose from and you can get really get extra creative.

My colour scheme in my dining area is silver, golds and coppers so I have opted for a metallic for my table.  I invested in some pieces last year and the year before so they are making their way back onto my table this season.  I like to have a theme, it makes it easier to create a overall look and with metallics you can add all the different shades, so you can be a bit creative.

Key to styling any table is a creating a statement focal point – typically a centrepiece. This can take the form of foliage, candles, ornaments, pinecones

Some ideas How To Create a Statement:

  • Fill a vase or bowl with baubles, pine cones or string lights for an easy but effective Christmas centrepiece.

  • Create a Winter Wonderland scene by filling jars with Epson salts, spare baubles, some fresh cranberries and a tea light

  • Use your cake stand to make a stand out centrepiece, filling it with baubles, pinecones and other festive ornaments

  • Transform an old tray by adding decorations to it, some candles and foliage, this can create a wonderful centrepiece.

  • Use ornaments such as lanterns or Stags (which I am obsessing about again this year) and surround them with pinecones, cranberries and fresh greenery for a festive effect.

  • Finish by spraying your centrepiece with Festive Fragrance and add extra festive candles around your home to transform it into a winter wonderland scent.

Below are some table styling ideas where I drew some inspiration from and I love this ‘How to Set a Table’ infograph.
