So last weekend I was out again for more engagement celebrations, they keep going on and on, but I’m not complaining. So whilst I knew I was going out I didn’t know where, as my sister wanted it to be a surprise, which is always nice.

The Batch Loaf

We went to a really nice restaurant in Monaghan, called The Batch Loaf and it was just beautiful. From the food to the decor and the staff, it was just perfect. The menu offers lots of choice from steaks, fish and chicken to lots of specials as well as a wide selection  of vegetarian options. The Garlic potatoes are a must, they were simply delicious, as is the chocolate brownie (but not together lol). The restaurant is spaced over 3 floors and adores a modern decor with a quirky twist. I really loved the chilled out atmosphere of it and the friendly staff just completed the great experience we had.

OOTD

So every night out calls for a new or newish outfit, in my case it was a newish one. I picked up this outfit a few weeks ago for another nite out, so back on it went. River Island is one of my favs go to for a ‘going out’ outfit. I kept it simple and went with black and cream, which in my opinion you can’t go wrong with. I didn’t have a pencil leather skirt in my wardrobe, so I thought this was a good purchase as it will see me through the year and into winter.  I went for a size up as I don’t like them too tight or cutting into you. The top is simple, Bardot style, which is very much in at the moment. I love cream and white but am always a bit conscious wearing it as it can be a bit see through, however the material in this top is quite think, jersey style, and the ruffle overlay gives it a bit more coverage, so i felt really comfortable in it. I like to buy things that are a bit more classic and can be worn as different styles, different seasons (I love skirts teamed with a cosy jumper too for a more casual look.) and won’t go out of trend in a month. If its your style, scroll below for links to buy

Then there was my nails, I was in a bit of a crisis with my nails as I peeled the gel off on Friday evening and was too last minute to get them done, but thankfully I remembered about all the free nails I received from Kiss products  launch party, so all was solved and I went with my red. These nails have such good staying power!

So that was my weekend, back to work for another week and then next week I’m heading to the Galgorm Hotel & Spa, which I can not wait for!.

Catch you soon
