Hey Lookers
Happy Saturday, where does the week go ….and I can’t believe it’s JULY.
Last week I kept buying flowers, which I am a little obsessed about at the moment. I just adore Peonies. There is nothing quite like fresh flowers to brighten up your home… and they make you happy.

I also enjoyed some catch up’s with family and friends, which is always lovely to do. I love having people around and entertaining and really enjoy everything from setting the table to making up and preparing nibbles and bites. My cousin introduced me to the most delicious Gin, Rose Cottage Rhubarb and Rose Haw Liqueur Gin , that we teamed with Elderflower Fever-Tree…it was AMAZING. I’m am always on the lookout for new ideas on ‘party’ food and drinks so if you have any I would love to hear.

Next week I am off on a few days break to lovely South of Ireland. I am really looking forward to getting away and just having some nice chilled out time with Kevin. I am heading back to the lovely Carton House,in Co.Kildare, which I really love. (Have a read at my blog ‘Chillin at Carton House’ that I did on my last visit, back in February, when I went with my parents and sisters on our little annual ‘family’ break away.) It will be nice to go back and experience it in the Summer time and hopefully the weather will not disappoint. Then we are heading onto Powerscourt Hotel, in Co.Wicklow, which I adore, for a few nights. I have stayed here before and it is fab, set in stunning grounds and close to the lovely little village of Enniskerry. You can keep a watch on my Social channels next week to see what we get up to and discover.

On our last visit to Powerscourt Hotel we took the complimentary bikes and went for a tour around the Wicklow mountains
In prep for my little break away I have been getting lots of pampering done this week, so I am holiday ready. Getting my nails done is a regular activity and I personally don’t feel dressed without having them done, so I wanted to get them fresh for heading away. If you have been following my blog over the last week you will have seen I was wearing the Kiss Products glue on gel nails, I haven’t wore glue on’s for a long time, and I must say I was really impressed, I was wearing mine for over a week and they had the most amazing staying power. (read more on them here). Whilst my nails normally get good attention I have been neglecting my feet, so I went to the chiropodist this week to give them some TLC. I sometimes tend to forget about my feet, but I am trying hard to get into a good routine of more regular visits. They feel so good now and I’m not ashamed to put them on show, oh and the polish was a must to finish them off. Apparently bathing your feet in Listerine, (yes mouth wash) is really good for them, due to the bacterial effect, and leaves them feeling really smooth. I am going to try it out and will let you know how I get on. And then to finish off the holiday prep I got my hair cut and coloured, which was well overdue. I have had it cut between colours and have been maintaining the colour with toners and purple shampoo, which I couldn’t live without.
I am planning a full post to show you some of my favourite hair products that keep my hair in check between colours.

This week I also picked up a few new additions for my wardrobe for my break away, well that was my excuse, nothing too expensive, a few bits from New Look and Primark. I’ll be wearing them on my break away so keep a watch to see what I picked up.
Enjoy your weekend
